Val

val@dickagencies.ca - House Insurance – Farm Insurance – Car Insurance – Dick Agencies – Brandon Manitoba Val began her insurance career working for her father's insurance brokerage in the 1970's. In 1981 she started working for a large insurance company in Winnipeg. During the 1980's she worked her way up from a clerk to a personal lines underwriter, a commercial lines underwriter and ending up as a marketing representative. Computers were always an interest of Val's and she attended night school at Red River Community College to obtain her degree in Computer Analyst Programming.

As a marketing representative, Val travelled to conventions to represent her insurance company. At one convention she met Greg and the following year they were married. Val moved to Brandon in 1992 to begin her career with Dick Agencies, and now handles the day to day operations of the company. From commercial insurance, house insurance, autopac, advertising and human resource manager, Val wears many hats.In 1995 she obtained her Chartered Insurance Professional Designation with the Insurance Institute of Canada. Val is the President of the Insurance Women’s Association of Western Manitoba.

Greg and Val have two daughters who keep them very busy. Val enjoys boating, camping, swimming, golf, fishing and watching volleyball. In the winter you will find Val at the curling rink. Her favourite hobby is travel and planning family vacations.
