Greg was born in Winnipeg and moved to Brandon at an early age. He attended Vincent Massey High School and furthered his education with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Economics from the University of Manitoba. Greg then left a 14-year career with Simplot Canada as a supervisor in their Brandon manufacturing plant to purchase Dick Agencies in 1988. When the opportunity to purchase Dick Agencies arose, Greg and his sister Jocelyn both made abrupt career changes to accomplish the task.
With the addition of the “Big License Place” Dick Agencies became an obvious choice for auto insurance in Brandon. Greg has served on the board of the Chamber of Commerce, sat as a director of the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada and has sat as President of the Insurance Brokers Association of Manitoba. He obtained his Canadian Accredited Insurance Brokers Association Designation and also received an award for the highest marks in Manitoba. Greg is a long time member and Past President of the Rotary Club of Brandon and a Paul Harris Fellow. His experience in industry, construction, trucking and property management have been very helpful in his insurance career. Greg is married to Val and they have two daughters. He likes to boat, ski, fish, tinker with vehicles, build, take apart and fix almost anything. His current love is motorcycling and he is a member of the Iron Butt Association.
